Seamless & Welded Round Tubing

Description

Seamless Round Steel Tubing is made from a solid cylindrical piece of steel called a billet. The billet is heated, stretched, and then pierced to create a hollow tube. Seamless tubing has no welded seams, which makes it stronger and more resistant to pressure and corrosion. Commonly used in high-pressure applications.
Welded Round Steel Tubing is made by rolling a flat steel strip into a tube shape and then welding the edges together. Welded tubing is generally more cost-effective and can be produced in larger quantities. However, the welded seam can be a point of weakness. Often used in structural applications, such as in construction, plumbing, and automotive exhaust systems.
